Chasing the Passion
SoDough Pastry House is the culmination of the love of kitchen science, the desire for real food and scratch ingredients, the craving for fun flavor and texture combinations, and the desire to put something out into the world that brings people joy.
My name is Alenna Drake, and I'm the Owner and Pastry Chef behind SoDough Pastry House. With 20+ years of home baking experience and having attended the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry program, I decided to leave my technical management career and follow my passion in the kitchen. I'm lucky to have a family that loves to jump in the mix with me.
Why the name SoDough? Well, it's "a badass dessert that knows exactly what it is" according to the Urban Dictionary. That is certainly what we endeavour to be.
